For power users who need a new laptop every year, spending $2000 annually will not be a fantastic way to budget your money.  Instead, I highly suggest to get a modest laptop equipped with the latest CPU processors.

Now, one of the laptops that come to my mind is the Compaq Presario CQ50Z.  Ever since HP has bought Compaq, they have continually rolled out fantastic, affordable laptop for your average regular joe.

Don’t get me incorrect though, if you don’t own a desktop, these low-priced laptops might not be for you but if you are only using your laptop for traveling or coach-surfing, this might be a fantastic way to go.

HP has been infamous its integration of LightScribe drivers, which comes equipped with most HP/Compaq laptops these days.  I personally don’t realy use it much, I still find regular ol’ marker pen to be better.

Other than those extra features you don’t need, this Compaq Presario CQ50Z comes with loaded with latest AMD processors and lots of goodies depending on how much you “add” to this laptop.

The only downfall with this laptop is that it doesn’t have DVI output, which means you can’t get HDTV connection with clarity, perhaps with the regular S-Video if you don’t mind the analog quality.

Yet another Compaq Presario, it has a fifteen inch show and all of the usual features that you would expect to find in a descent Compaq computer as well as a few that extra features. There is one thing that needs to be done, a proper road test to place it through its features.

 Email This is the brilliant Compaq mini, these are fantastic for getting online while out travelling, this is because these machines give the user the ability to take files and data around with them as well as being able to get online and check emails by using it with mobile broadband. 

This is one of those computers that has the glossy look to it, sure they awesome enough, but once there are a few finger prints on case then it can start to get annoying somewhat. Yet that does go away from the fact that this computer offers the user a full 15.6 inch show and all of the features that you would expect in a machine like this.

Compaq is a well established brand that offers the user the security of knowing that this is a well made machine, with the bonus of being able to buy it for less that $500! It just does not get any better than that. It is ideal for school, work or for somebody that spends a lot of time travelling around and still needs to stay in touch.
